# Assigning Contacts to a Group

After creating a group, you can assign contacts using one of the following methods:

### Manual Assignment

Edit individual contacts as described in the **Editing Contact -> Assigning to a Group** section, and assign them to the newly created group.

### File Import

* Go to the **Contacts -> Import** tab.
* Upload a file with contacts, selecting the newly created group as the assignment location.

### Static Group Segmentation Tool

Use the segmentation tool to create a list of contacts meeting specific criteria and assign them to the selected group.
