# Importing Contacts from a File
Drag and drop the file into the designated area or click on the gray field to upload it manually.
### File Summary
After uploading the file, you'll see a summary that includes:
* File name
* Number of rows
* Separator: ;
### Field Binding
Below the summary, you'll see how the system has matched columns from your file to system fields:
* The system automatically matches columns with the same names.
* For columns with different names, you can bind them manually.
* Bind a File Field (column name from your CSV file) with the appropriate Platform Field.
* Click the Bind the Field button.

File Field is the column name from your CSV file.

Available Platform Fields:
* E-mail
* Mobile Phone
* First Name
* Last Name
* Company Name
To add a custom field for personalization, click the **Add New Field** option.\
You can also configure custom fields in the **Contacts -> Additional Fields** tab.
After binding fields, click **Confirm File** to proceed.
### Import Settings
Select the appropriate options:
* **Import to a new or existing group**\
Choose whether to add contacts to a new group or an existing one.
* **Import only new or all contacts**\
Decide whether to upload only new contacts that don't already exist in the account or all contacts from the file.
* **Update existing contacts**\
Specify whether existing contact data should be updated based on the file (Yes/No).
Click **Import** to start the process.
