# IP Authorization

The ‘IP Authorization’ feature allows you to restrict access to the SMTP server to specific IP addresses or groups of IPs, significantly reducing the risk of unauthorized access, even if a password is accidentally disclosed.

To configure IP authorization:

* Enter the IP address or range you wish to authorize in the ‘Enter IP address or mask’ field.
* Click the ‘Add’ button to include the entry in the list of authorized addresses.
* Once added, a list of authorized IP addresses will appear below the form, showing which IPs have access to the SMTP server.

This feature provides an additional layer of security by allowing connections only from authorized sources.
