# Mozilla Thunderbird

### Integrating Mozilla Thunderbird with EmailLabs SMTP <a href="#docs-internal-guid-02fe83c6-7fff-43c0-01d7-1812c8985977" id="docs-internal-guid-02fe83c6-7fff-43c0-01d7-1812c8985977"></a>

Mozilla Thunderbird, a popular email client, allows for easy configuration of external SMTP servers. By integrating with EmailLabs, you can enhance the deliverability and security of your outgoing emails.

### Finding SMTP data in EmailLabs

The data needed for integration via SMTP can be found in the EmailLabs panel in the section: **Email API -> Settings -> SMTP Accounts**.

### Accessing Account Settings

* Open your Mozilla Thunderbird application.
* Click on the Thunderbird menu in the top-left corner.
* Navigate to **Account Settings**.

### Navigating to Outgoing Server (SMTP) Settings

* In the left-hand menu of the Account Settings window, select **Outgoing Server (SMTP)**.
* Select the email account you wish to configure with EmailLabs SMTP.
* Click the **Edit** button on the right.

### Entering EmailLabs SMTP Data

In the SMTP Server settings window, fill in the following information:

* **Description:** Enter any descriptive name (e.g., your email address or "EmailLabs SMTP").
* **Server Name:** `smtp.emaillabs.net.pl`
* **Port:** We recommend using port 587. Alternatively, you can use port 465 with SSL/TLS.
* **Connection Security:** Select STARTTLS (recommended for port 587). You can also choose SSL/TLS if using port 465.
* A**uthentication Method:** Select Normal Password.
* **User:** Enter your EmailLabs SMTP account name in the format: `1.youraccountname.smtp`.
* Click **OK** to save these settings.

### Providing the SMTP Password

* The first time you attempt to send an email after configuring the EmailLabs SMTP server, Thunderbird will prompt you with a dialog box to enter your password.
* Enter the SMTP password you created in your EmailLabs panel. You can optionally check the Remember password box to avoid entering it each time.
* Click **OK**.

### Testing the Configuration

* Try sending a test email to ensure the configuration is working correctly.
* If the email fails to send, double-check the settings in the Outgoing Server (SMTP) section of your Account Settings.
