# Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)

Two-Factor Authentication (2FA), also known as two-step verification, adds a crucial second layer of security to your account. Even if someone knows your password, they will not be able to log into your account without the second factor (e.g., a code from an authenticator app or a hardware key). **We strongly recommend enabling 2FA for all users of the account.**

* **Configuration:** You can configure 2FA in the panel by navigating to the **Account -> Settings -> Security** section.
