# Character Count and Message Billing

Below the message editor, you will find:

* **Number of characters:** Displays the number of characters in the message.
* **Number of billed SMS:** Indicates how many SMS messages the text will be divided into based on its length and the type of characters used. 

This option helps manage message length and control campaign costs.
