# Authorizing the Domain Hosted by GoDaddy

1. Log in to the customer panel on GoDaddy
2. Select the 'Domains' tab from the 'My Account' dropdown menu.<br>

3. Choose the domain you want to authenticate to access the domain settings page
4. From the left-hand menu, go to the 'DNS' tab, where you'll find all your existing records
5. Click on the 'Add New Record' button.<br>

6. From the 'Type' dropdown menu, choose CNAME.
7. In the 'Name' field, enter the domain with the character string \
   `selector._domainkey.yourdomain.com`
8. In the 'Value' field, enter the corresponding value generated in the EmailLabs panel.<br>

9. Click 'Save' to update the information
10. Wait for the DNS system to approve the changes. Depending on DNS record propagation, this **may take a few minutes or up to 24 hours**.
11. Wait for the changes to be approved by the DNS system. Depending on the system’s TTL, it may take a few minutes or hours.
12. You can check the DKIM configuration status by clicking the “Check” button in the EmailLabs panel. If it changes to **"**&#x61;ccepte&#x64;**",** the authorization was correctly completed.
